Hönig (2034m) is located in the Lachtaler Alps.
It is a magnificent flower mountain, also known as the most beautiful flower mountain in the valley.
I am planning to have an easy medium hike this Sunday, but due to a bad connection, we need to start so early.
The plan is to hike and photoshoot on this beautiful mountain, and then on our way back, we can have swimming in lake Heiterwanger See.
This hike begins and finishes at Berwang.
We go through the left of the mountain (east) through the district of Gröben. When we cross the stream of Alpelesbach, if there is a very speedy hiker, he/she can go to the Roterstein, a beautiful mountain (I don't plan to go there though).
Instead, we go toward the right following signpost of Hönig.
Transportation: We take the train to Bichlbach Berwang we should reach at 08:43. Then we take a bus (151) at 08:53 to Berwang.
The last return bus is at 17:18; I think we will make it before that; otherwise, we have to walk 5 km extra.
The train from Bichlbach is either at 18:43 or 19:16.
I am not super fast, but neither slow. The speed would be around 300-400 hm per hour.
My phone number:+491728871559, just in case.
Things to bring:
1. Face Mask and hand sanitizer (*corona special)
2. Water and food,.
3. Swimsuit and towel.
4. Money for the ticket (Probably, we need to buy a separate ticket for the bus).
5. Passport as we cross the border.
6. Headlight (probably won't need it but you never know).
7. Rainjacket, just in case.
8. Sunscreen.
Meeting:
Munich Hbf, Platform 27,
Sunday at 06:10.
Note: Please don’t join the hike if you want to come back early or if you don’t like to be photographed: P. Please unjoin the event well in advance if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjgamehe event when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
Very Important! Very Important! Very Important!
Going to the mountains like any other adventure tours is always risky, sometimes it might be life-threatening! Attendees are advised to read the full description in to, look into the route details, and to make it familiarise with themselves to the point that as if they are going to hike on their own. If there is any unwanted and unfortunate incident, it happens they are at this moment informed that they have to pay by themselves if the rescue team needs to be called (average cost 3,000 Euro). We are certainly not official guides, so it is not a guided tour. The organizer is only responsible for taking care of the meeting and sharing the travel cost, nothing else!
I am looking forward to seeing you!
