Meeting time: Saturday, 6 AM sharp

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T3. Please read the blog to understand the requirement for T3 sac scale. In general, this is not suitable for beginners, and you should have some fitness to make 35 Km and 2100m gain without any problems in two days.

Route description:

Day 1: We will park our car(s) at Jennerbahn parking lot and take a boat to St. Bartholoma. The first boat is at 8:30 AM, and we should target this one so that we can start hiking at 9AM. The trail goes through forest with beautiful waterfalls on the way. We arrive at hut Karlingerhaus, where we will have lunch break with views of Funtensee in front. We continue further to Riemenhaus (2177 m), we stay there overnight. The hut is surrounded by amazing peaks, and some of us will explore those. We have have reservation for 7 people in the hut. 

Day 2: Next day we leave early after breakfast and we continue the trail towards Obersee which goes through the highest waterfall of Germany - Rothbachfall. Finally we take the boat back to Jennerbahn.

Things to bring:

• Waterproof hiking boots, and extra pair of socks
• Food/snacks for the hike, at least 1.5L water
• Hiking poles (recommended)
• Warm clothes (it will be cold in the night at hut), rain jacket (just in case)
• Mobile charger
• Money at least 100 EUR cash (debit card is not accepted in the hut)
• Headlamp (just in case)
• Hut sleeping bag (Schlafsäcken)
• DAV membership card (if you have) with photo Id
• Toiletries
  

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event when it is starting in less than 12 hours
