Description

I have been waiting for 3/4 years to do this.  Finally, the time has arrived.

I am planning this Friday because, the weather looks good, and generally on weekends this trail is highly crowded on this route) to go for a hike to the highest peak of Germany via the Klettersteig (Höllentalsteig) It has a long Klettersteig of difficulty B/C.

Please write to me before joining.

I plan to start very early because its a big deal. I want to take the first train of the day.

We take a train at 05:32 from Munich HBF and change at Weilheim (Oberbay), reach Garmisch at ) 7:20 then take a bus toward Eibsee and get down at Hammersbach at 07:41 from where we start our hike. We go via Höllentalklam and then the Höllentalersteig. We cross a glacier.

You can find the updated condition of the glacier or the steig here https://www.alpenverein-muenchen-oberland.de/hoellentalangerhuette/tourenverhaeltnisse?fbclid=IwAR02yrucWzrRbv0umX3DAyoUyeeQgMnUDPqK-yIXfAjtz5nsp8IdiDgJT5U

After reaching to the peak we get to down towards Ehrwald from where we tale train back to Munich.

if we get a driver we can do this https://www.komoot.de/tour/245625154

Good to know

i) Hiking shoes and proper crampons.

ii) A complete via Ferrata set.

iii) Hiking poles (not mandatory, but it always better to have them).

iv) Enough food and water for the whole day. We may not get enough time for the hut.

v) Headlamp.

vi) A good mood.

IMP: Going to the mountains, like any other adventure tours, is always risky; sometimes, it might be life-threatening! Attendees are advised to read the full description, look into the route details, and familiarise themselves to the point that as if they are going to hike on their own.
If there is any unwanted and unfortunate incident happened, they are at this moment informed that they have to pay by themselves if the rescue team needs to be called (average cost 3,000 Euro). We are certainly not official guides, so it is not a guided tour. The organizer is only responsible for taking care of the meeting and sharing the travel cost, nothing else

Komoot link says it's a private tour plan and doesn't show details.

I'm un-joining the event because the organiser want to only do it with known persons.

The live webcam specially toward Hoellentall still not clear yet. But we still see there is patches of snows. You can have a look by yourself and then decide. https://www.foto-webcam.eu/webcam/zugspitze-ost/
