I want to do this easy via ferrata on Saturday bypassing the kleine Laber on our way back down to Oberau. It's a pretty easy a/b via ferrata so would be fine for beginners as long as you are reasonably fit and not scared of heights (you can also bypass the peak if you get scared). The route isn't looking so great as my app didn't seem to find a way between the 2 peaks, but there totally is.
Meeting point is at Sporthaus Schuster at Marienplatz where we can fetch our gear and take the 10:30 train afterwards. It can be rented through DAV please make sure you have a reservation: https://www.alpenverein-muenchen-oberland.de/unser-service-fuer-unsere-mitglieder/dav-ausruestungsverleih-in-muenchen/online-buchung
Make sure you select the Marienplatz location for pick up and take a gurt, via ferrata set and helmet. We will take the 5 or 6 pm train back so we can drop it off on the same day.
I won't be taking anyone who shows up without the right equipment.
i) Hiking shoes and via ferrata set
ii) Hiking poles (not mandatory, but it always better to have them).
iii) Enough water for the whole day.
iv) Snacks and or food. We're not planning on stopping at huts
v) Proper clothes for hiking
vi) A good mood
Going to the mountains, like any other adventure tours, is always risky; sometimes it might be life-threatening! Attendees are advised to read the full description, look into the route details and familiarise themselves to the point that as if they are going to hike by their own.
If there is any unwanted and unfortunate incident happened, they are at this moment informed that they have to pay by themselves if the rescue team needs to be called (average cost 3,000 Euro). We are certainly not official guides, so it is not a guided tour. The organizer is only responsible for taking care of the meeting and sharing the travel cost, nothing else
