Summer is almost over, let's enjoy the last few days while we can!
This is an easy hike so beginners, first-timers are also welcome. However, you should be doing cardio regularly and be fit enough to complete the hike. It'll be a relaxing hike, so we'll go at a slow speed, around 300 hm. We'll meet at Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) platform 30 right before 08:30. I'll buy the ticket right at 08:40, so if you arrive after that time, you have to buy your own ticket. We'll take the RB59617 and get down at Kochel. From there we'll catch the bus 9608 towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen Bahnhof and get down at Kesselberg Paßhöhe, which is the start point of our hike.
The hike will end in Urfeld, from where we'll catch the bus towards Kochel Bahnhof. The buses are at 15:14, 16:14, 17:14 and so on. I'll prefer to catch the 17:14 bus at the latest. After the hike ends, whoever is interested in swimming, can swim in Walchensee, others can chill by the lake.
N.B.1. The gpx file for this hike is already available. Everyone please download a gpx viewer app (e.g., bergfx, gpx viewer) in your phone and save the gpx file of the route. It is important to have the route beforehand if you get separated from the team!
N.B.2. The weather is supposed to be good on Sunday. If the weather condition changes and becomes really bad, I'll have to cancel the event. It is not recommended to take unnecessary risks. The event will also be cancelled if the number of participants are less than 3.
Alert for Corona Virus: Please do not join the event if - i) you are sick, or, ii) you have recently been in a trip to one of the hotspots of COVID-19.
