Hi Mountaineers,
On 04.09.2020, lets accomplish Zugspitze. Weather looks fine and sunny.
There is no showstopper snow enroute.
Plan is to catch the train at 05:32 from Munich Hauptbahnhof, transit the train and reach Garmisch at 7:20.
Then head to Eibsee in a bus and get down at Hammersbach at 07:41. The hike begins here via the Höllental route.
After reaching the peak, we descend via Stopselzieher to Ehrwald and take a train back to Munich.

This hike requires good condition of the body. Not recommended for beginners. However, I will not judge you based on your hiking buddies profile. If you have the zeal to finish it, join in and lets do it !
Hope to catch some of you.
Best Regards, Ajay
Make sure you have:
- Klettersteigset (via ferrata set) with helmet
- Wind proof and comfortable clothes
- Hiking shoes with crampons (thanks for reminding Andrea) (and optionally poles/ Wanderstöcke)
- Food and water
- Some cash
- whatever other flashy things you need
IMP: Going to the mountains, like any other adventure tours, is always risky; sometimes, it might be life-threatening! Attendees are advised to read the full description, look into the route details, and familiarise themselves to the point that as if they are going to hike on their own.
If there is any unwanted and unfortunate incident happened, they are at this moment informed that they have to pay by themselves if the rescue team needs to be called (average cost 3,000 Euro). We are certainly not official guides, so it is not a guided tour. The organizer is only responsible for taking care of the meeting and sharing the travel cost, nothing else
