You should have some experience with long days in the mountains, and with scrambling along ridges. Please contact before joining if you are unsure. This is not!! a via Ferrata.
There is intentionally no recommendations about what gear to bring. You should ask questions and/or look up information about the route, if you are unsure about what gear you will need.
We'll take the train at 6:32, to Bichlbach, arriving at 8:43. In the afternoon we will take a train from Lermoos back to Munich. We will buy a group Werdenfels ticket, which will be 11-15€ per person.
If you join, you should be confident that you could do a medium exposed short scrambling UIAA II part if needed. There are supposed to be some steel ropes along the ridge, but they get removed at some time during autumn.
We will power hike the uphills and might run the easy flat and downhill parts (depending on the group and pace). An uphill speed of ca. 600hm/h should be enough if you have good endurance (we should get some great views along the ridge).
There is only a bit after the end of the ridge, so please take enough water and food/calories with you.
Note: Please unjoin the event asap if you can't participate anymore. You can't drop out less than 12 hrs before the event starts! If you happen to be sick and have to cancel beyond those 12 hours, please drop me a message or leave a comment.
Disclaimer: Hiking can be a risky and dangerous sport. I am not a mountain guide. Everyone joins this event at her/his own responsibility. Ensure you are healthy and do not participate if you don't feel well. Should you start feeling unwell during the hike, let me know immediately. It is highly recommended to bring a map and a cell phone.
