Description

The Grünstein Klettersteig is a spectacular via ferrata near Königssee with amazing views. We will take the "Isidor-Steig" route (difficulty C), but also enjoy our time with a stop at Grünstein Hütte, and maybe at Königssee.

Good to know
  • We are renting a car two cars (this will save us 2 hours compared to public transport). The price will be around 25€/person
  • The meeting point is at Sixt at Rosenheimer Platz, 9 sharp
  • The hike takes smth between 3 and 5 hours, we should be back in Munich around 18-20
  • You need a via ferrata set. You can rent one at DAV if you don't own one
  • If you have the fear of heights, this is not for you
  • If you have the coronavirus, this is also not for you :p
  • You need decent hiking shoes
  • There's a hike to reach the start of the via ferrata so I recommend hiking poles
