IMPORTANT NOTICE:
I had to change the meeting time to 6.10 am. The train will depart at 6.32 at Gl.27-36. I changed it in the event clock.
We meet in front of the yorma store (the smaller one in the hall, close to Gl. 27-36). Looking forward to see you guys tomorrow. The weather will be great =)
Hey guys,
on Sunday I wanna do the Daniel Hike.
I am Markus, German, 35 years old and a good hiking mate, i guess :-)
We will go by train (Bayern-Ticket, cheap). I am planning to leave at 5.30 am at Munich HBF.
Moderate speed. Medium Difficulty.
The Daniel (2340m) is the highest of the Ammergau Alps (Tyrolean side), and you can see that: great views of Zugspitze, Wetterstein, Ehrwalder Sonnenspitze and many more - and not only on the summit (which is particularly beautiful) but on the whole tour! This tour is moderately difficult, but requires good physical condition. But the panorama as well as nature rewards every step, and the very hospitable Tuftalm (also Leermooser Alm (1496m) at the beginning & end of the tour invites you to take a break with its sun terrace and extra viewing platform. You can also "take" the Upsspitze (2332m) with you. A real top tour! (source: berg-tour online)
Departure: We meet at 6.10 am (as seen in the event clock) at Gl. 27-36 at München Hbf. The train departs at 6.32 am. We meet in front of the yorma store (the smaller one in the hall, close to Gl. 27-36)
Return: Goal is to take the 6.30 pm train from Lermoos to come back (maybe earlier).
Experience: Medium to difficult and long hike, if it's your first time it is not for you!
Pace: Steady pace to enjoy a day in the mountains - this is not a trail running competition ;)
