Let's take advantage of the sunny day tomorrow and do the very scenic heimgarten to herzogstand hike :)

Meeting point:  Munich HBF - 7:30 am - in front of platform 31

Route details:

We'll take the train to Kochel then bus to Walchensee. The hike starts from there towards Heimgarten where we can take a break at the hut or continue to herzogstand and have a stop there (breaks depend on group's needs ::) 

Ticket: we'll share a werdenfels ticket(10-11euros pp)

Please read before joining:

• Hike rating: difficult mountain hike (black)
• Elevation gain: approx. 1200hm in ascent and descent
• Walking time: total 7h (ascent to Heimgarten: approx. 3:30 h, ridge: approx. 1:30 h, descent: approx. 2h)
• Condition: difficult - quite a long tour and on the ridge it goes up and down a bit
• Technique: medium to difficult - everything is well secured on the ridge, but you should be free from giddiness and surefooted, even on the ascent to Heimgarten, a short, slightly exposed area, should not join if you have any fear of heights!

What to bring?

- good hiking shoes, sun screen, warm layer, snacks, enough water, cash, mundschutz, smile :)

Please note: hiking in the alps is serious business, make sure you understand the difficulty of the hike and your own ability before joining. You're fully responsible for your own safety.
