Description

Hi all,

The weather will be amazing on Saturday, then hiking and swimming in a lake sounds like a perfect plan for this weekend :)

The route is in Barmsee ( I hope is all warm :p)  and two other small lakes close to it

It is considered middle difficulty in some websites, in other easy....

Since the days are still long enough and the route is only 3-4 hours, I was planning to include  also this other part with the waterfall. The hike will be this one

https://www.komoot.com/tour/255598993

So it will be a mixture of both hiking with waterfalls, lakes and swimming at the end.

we are going to start the ride at 8.00 am in Munich Hbf  :) Be punctual, because the train leaves at 8:13 in platform 29!! So we have basically 10 min to meet us and buy the tickets!!!

We are going to meet at 8:00, Platform 29, close to the tickets machine (I think there is one there). We are going to get Krün at 9:39 h.

The route will be:

Klais- Grubsee - Wasserfall- Barmsee – Geroldsee -  Krün Schwimmen

I have never done it, but it sounds amazing!! The idea is swimming in Barmsee (other other of the two lakes) during lunch or/ and after the hike and chill out with a beer or an ice-cream afterwards. We could arrive back in Munich at 19:00 or 20:00 h ( we can decide there :) )

Please, bring enough water, suncream, and something to eat.

See you!!

Sandra

Good to know

https://www.merkur.de/bayern/grubsee-barmsee-geroldsee-kruen-garmisch-833972.html

According to this news, there is a entrance fee, for some of the lakes, so we can also skip swimming in one. But we can decide there spontaneously.

- Eintritt am Grubsee (2,50 Euro Erwachsene, 1,50 Euro Kinder)

- Eintritt am Geroldsee: 1,50 Euro

Hi Sandra, glad to see you doing the 3 lakes route,it is really relaxing hike :) Maybe I can be of assistance with difficulty level since you're using one of my routes. The hike is not medium difficulty. It is easy pathways and really enjoyable :) For those who usually do not hike maybe it could be a bit more walking than usually but it is def beginner friendly. Type of paths can be seen in the photos (route details) ;) have fun and I'm looking forward to hearing which lake you guys like the most. :)
