Hello I wanted to go on this beautiful ring tour which includes Hollentalklamm and a Via Ferrata ascending and descending Alpspitze on two different sides. It shouldn't be too difficult - consider it as a T3 hike since the more difficult parts have the securing rope.

Taking the train at 6:32, we should arrive at the entrance of the gorge by 8:45 (train to Garmisch and then bus). 

Costs are those of a Bayern Ticket (9 euro if we are 5 people) + 5 euro fee for Hollentalklamm. We want to avoid to pay the Alpspitzbahn to come back, so we cannot go too slowly ;)

Take enough food and water with you!

Good to know

This hike is not suitable for beginners. I'm not a guide and it's my first time on this route. Clearly you come on your own responsibility. You should have already enough alpine experience (see technical details of the route).


Since it is partly a Via Ferrata C grade, you MUST take your harness, helmet and security set.
