This is an easy-medium hike - suitable for beginners who do sports on a regular basis. There are some sections of the route which are secured by cable mainly to help in wet conditions (maybe look at this video to get some idea about these sections and the route in general).

Public Transport: We will take ALX84104 departing at 7:20 am, which may directly go to Oberstdorf, or we might need to change in Immenstadt to ALX84134 (9:14 am). We arrive at Oberstdorf at 9:39, and then take the Bus 7, departing at 10:05 to Birgsau. This is the start and end point of our hike.

Note that the bus ticket is not included in the Servus (or Bayern) ticket. However, it has a 50% discount for a group of 10 or more people.

Return connection: 17:00, 18:00, 19:00 (last connection)

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T3, with some small sections being secured by cable. Please read the blog to understand the requirements for sac scale T3.

We will have a lunch break at the hut. However, it will take 3-4 hours to get there, so bring enough food/drink for the whole day. 

Things to bring:

• Waterproof hiking boots
• Cash for the ticket + possibly for the food/drink at the hut
• Food/drinks for the way
• Sunscreen
• Some tolerance for cloudy and rainy weather

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
