Maximum participants: 10, regular hiking buddies are given priority over first-timers

Meeting point: Munich HBF, in front of platform 29

Meeting time: Sunday, 6:45 am (UPDATED!)

Public transport: We will take RB94505 from Munich at 6:59 am, which will arrive after two change of trains (due to construction works in Starnberg) in Farchant at 8:47 am. This is the start point of our hike. The hike ends at Eschenlohe from where there are hourly trains to Munich at xx:20 or at xx:21.

Technical difficulty: The hike is not for beginners, but for experienced and fit hikers with above average pace. The hike has difficulty T4 with some scrambling near the peak. Please read the blog to understand the requirement for T4 sac scale.

We will have lunch at Weilheimer huette (open till Oct 21th), however, this is already at pretty high altitude (1946m), so please bring enough food/drink to avoid starvation/dehydration before reaching there.

Things to bring:

• Hiking boots
• Some food and drinks for the way (we will have lunch at the hut)
• Cash for the ticket and food/drink at the hut
• Sunscreen / rain jacket, depending on the weather
• Headlamp / flashlight

Note about the route: The route has been changed slightly, because Fred and Amit pointed out that the other route is prone to rockfall. The new route still leads to the same peak (Krottenkopf), but is slightly longer. Please look at route details, and unjoin if you don't like it.

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
