We take the train "M 79009" from Munich Hauptbahnhof Platform 10 which departs at 7:56 and get down at "Prien a. Chiemsee" about 8:51. We catch the Bus 9505 at 9:00 and get down at "Klaushäusl Museum Salz + Moor, Grassau" around 9:17.


The hike is T2 about 4.5 hours. But we will do it relaxedly without much pressure. But it is not a very easy hike, but an intermediate one per Komoot. Good fitness required.

Weather is cloudy and a couple of showers.

We have below two return options:

1. Start from bus station at 16:39 and reach Munich Hbf at 18:06

2. Start from bus station at 18:40 and reach Munich Hbf at 20:06

Depending upon our pace and situation we will decide this during the hike.

Good to know

As with any hiking buddies hike, you are completely responsible for you, your actions and your safety during the entire hike. The organizer is only making an effort to bring together hikers. He is in no way responsible for anybody except himself. By joining the hike you agree to this automatically.

  • Cash: Please bring cash of 12 Euro per person. We will buy ticket at hbf.

  • What to bring: Face mask, Warm clothes, enough water (1.5 - 2 liters), hiking shoes, food/snacks as needed
  • Insurance: If possible get a DAV insurance
  • Hut info: There is a possiblity to buy food at "Naderbauer Hütte" which is about half way through the hike, but could not gaurantee the availability of food and/or opening times, We have no booking.
