**Update* We decided to switch to carpool. It gives us the chance to start earlier with the hike.
Please check the meeting point with respective drivers under carpool tab and then checking out the details at "see details".
The hike start is moved to 8.00 am. We meet at Parkplatz Brauneck Talstation**
Friday looks good so I'd like to do a rather long hike to Benediktenwand via Brauneck and Achselköpfe. :)
Since it's a rather long hike and some sections are exposed and secured with cables - you need to be in good fitness level, surefooted and have head for heights. In a nutshell - an experienced hiker with good fitness level.
This route is not suited for beginners.
If you haven't been hiking recently and on regular basis, this route might be challenging for you so please do not join. The pace will be moderate (approx. 400-500hm/gain)
We are looking at about approx. 8 to 9 hours brutto time (depending on on-site conditions since on Thursday there will be some rain in the area and I expect the ground to be a bit moist. Not really an issue but it does influence the pace ratio on some sections).
Peaks we will be crossing are Brauneck, Stangeneck, Vordere Kirchstein, Latschenkopf, Achselköpfe towards Rotörhsattel before reaching Benediktenwand.
Departure: Meeting point is at Pl 33, Munich Central Station at 08:35. Please be on time, otherwise you will have to buy your own ticket. We take the BOB86909 at 09:04 and reach Lenggries at 10:11. This is our start point.
Return: We aim to get the 18:47 BOB86934 from Lenggries and reach Munich at 19:54.
Alternative connection: An hour later at 19:47 BOB86938.
If the weather changes and is not more favourable - I will cancel the hike.
See you on Friday ;)
Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
