NOTE: I have never done this hike before, so I do NOT know what the paths are like. This is not a beginner hike.
Read the instructions carefully before joining.
We will take the public transport leaving from München Pasing at 7:27 to Unterbergjoch, Eldrachbrücke and arrive there at 10:17.
After the hike we will take public transport from Pfronten-Ried train station back to München Pasing at one of these times depending on the speed of our group: 17:55, 18:38 or 19:38 (arriving in Munich at 19:58, 21:33 or 22:33 respectively).
I will be buying a Bayern-Ticket for the whole group, so I will need your full first and last name by Friday 8 pm. To insure that I will not be paying for no-shows, you will need to transfer 10€ via Paypal to me (please contact me to get my credentials) by Friday 8pm. The rest of the money (depending on how many people will join) for the Bayern Ticket can be paid on the train.
If you want to start your train ride at München Hauptbahnhof, the train leaves at 7:20 from platform 28. Please let me know beforehand that you are going to be in the train already and make sure to sit at the very front of the train (but within second class). You will need a standard MVV/MVG ticket that is valid for M-Zone for the ride to Pasing.
I will be waiting for hiking buddies not already on the train at Platform 4 in Pasing at 7:20 am.
Things to bring in addition to standard day hike equipment:
- HEADLAMP (it will most likely be dusk/dark on our way down)
- spikes and gaitors depending on snow conditions
- Food and drink for a 7-10 hour day of hiking (I am not sure if there are any huts along the route and even if there are we will not be stopping there)
If you have any questions, just ask. I will be contacting everybody that joins to verify as well.
For reference, check out https://www.outdooractive.com/de/route/bergtour/allgaeu/zinken-und-sorgschrofen-ueberschreitung/11915436/#dmlb=1 for the T4 part of the hike to Sorgschrofen.
Going to the mountains, like any other adventure tours, is always risky; sometimes it might be life-threatening! Attendees are advised to read the full description, look into the route details and familiarise themselves to the point that as if they are going to hike by their own.
If there is any unwanted and unfortunate incident happened, they are at this moment informed that they have to pay by themselves if the rescue team needs to be called (average cost 3,000 Euro). We are certainly not official guides, so it is not a guided tour. The organizer is only responsible for taking care of the meeting and sharing the travel cost, nothing else
