Description

Important: Bring a headlamp! It will be dark going down, as we will most likely be watching the sunset from Grünten.

Due to Corona restrictions only one other person can join. Although I have never done this hike, it should be T2 mostly so pretty easy hiking, but due to elevation gain and especially loss (over 1600 meters) not suitable to beginners.

We will take the public transport leaving from München Pasing at 9:00 to Unterbergjoch, Obergschwendt and arrive there at 11:45.

After the hike we will take the train from Blaichach to München Pasing at one of these times depending on the sunset and our hiking speed down the mountain: 19:46 or 20:40 (arriving in Munich Pasing at 21:33 or 22:33 respectively).

I will be buying the Bayern Ticket for both of us beforehand. To make sure I will not be paying for a no-show/late arrival, you have to pay your 16€ share of the Bayernticket to me via Paypal upon joining the event, as well as tell me your full name so that I can put your name on the ticket. (use the friends and family option; if you use the business option, you will have to send 18€ since it deducts about 2€ in fees)

If you want to start your train ride at München Hauptbahnhof, the train leaves at 8:53 from platform 30. Please let me know beforehand that you are going to be in the train already. You will need a standard MVV/MVG ticket that is valid for M-Zone for the ride to Pasing.

Good to know

Things to bring in addition to standard day hike equipment:

- HEADLAMP

- Warm clothes to watch the sunset at the peak (about 1 hour of not moving very much at often times windy peaks)

- Food and drink for a 7-10 hour day of hiking (Even if there are open huts along the way we will not be stopping there)

- you should be able to do 400-500 meters elevation gain per hour

If you have any questions, just ask. I will be contacting anybody that joins to verify they have read the above.

Going to the mountains, like any other adventure tours, is always risky; sometimes it might be life-threatening! Attendees are advised to read the full description, look into the route details and familiarise themselves to the point that as if they are going to hike by their own.
If there is any unwanted and unfortunate incident happened, they are at this moment informed that they have to pay by themselves if the rescue team needs to be called (average cost 3,000 Euro). We are certainly not official guides, so it is not a guided tour. The organizer is only responsible for taking care of the meeting and sharing the travel cost, nothing else

Hi! Is the Bus 48 covered by Bayern Ticket? DB says it's not.
