Description
This is a 4 days tour designed to be made at the beginning of November when some huts are still open and the weather is not yet very challenging.
Day I: Jachenau-Benedikterwand-Tutzingerhutte
Day II: Tutzingerhutte-Latschenkopf-Stangeneck-Brauneckgipfel-Lenggrieserhutte
Day III: Lengriesserhutte-Mariaeck-Hochplatte-Buchsteinhütte
Day IV: Buchsteinhütte-Tegernseerhutte-Sonnberg Alm-Bayerwald
Some of the days will be longer, other shorter. Some more challenging than the other ones.
But above all there will be 4 days of enjoying the colors of the autumns; the beautiful landscapes, the HB friendly atmosphere and the warm of a hut at the end of the day.
Good to know
They are some important things that it is good to know before to push the join button
A. Costs
a: Transport: 21.5 Euro (we will use Bayer Ticket on Thursday and on Sunday too and we will split the costs)
b: Accomodation:
Tutzingerhutte - 11 Euro if you are DAV member, 22 euro if you are not
Lengriesserhutte - 8.50 Euro if you are DAV member, 18.50 Euro if you are not
Buchsteinhutte: 32 Euro (accommodation + breakfast)
I already booked 8 places at every hut.
The persons who are decided to come will have to pay an advance of 30 Euro (10 Euro/hut) for confirming the reservation. For more infos, cheek the message you will receive once you apply for this hike.
c. Food - everyone is responsible for himself
If someone wants to eat at the hut, please let me know until Tuesday so that I can inform the hut about this
The prices for the food at the hut are the following
Tutzinger Hutte: Only breakfast: 9.50 Euro Half pension: Dinner (3 course Menu: soup, main dish, dessert) + breakfast+warm tea to take away: 29 Euro
Lenggrieser Hutte - the webpage didn't precise the costs for food but I suppose they will not be too different from the Tutzinger Hutte prices
For Buchsteinhutte, the accommodation price includes also the breakfast. The webpage of the hut didn't precise the prices for the dinner.
B. Equipment
A multi day hike involves a light backpack filled really with bare necessities. You will have to care it with you everyday for 4 days so keep it simple:
Dont forget to take with you:
Rain clothes
Proper hiking shoes
Headlamp
Hiking poles
Warm clothes
DAV card
Hüttenschlafsack
Water (at least 2 liters)
Food for the first day and energy snacks
Charged mobile phone + charger
A lot of good mood
REMEMBER
Hiking Buddies Munich is not a group of professional mountain guides.
Each participant is responsible for him / herself and has to be prepared and bring suitable equipment.
