There is around 30% chance of rain during the day, and much higher in the evening, so please bring a rain jacket.

Meeting point: Munich HBF, in front of platform 29

Meeting time: Sunday, 7:05 am

Public transport: We will take ALX84152 departing at 7:20 am. The train ride lasts 2h19m, so one could have a comfortable sleep in the train. We reach Oberstdorf at 9:39 am, which is the start and end point of our hike. During the descent we plan to use scooters from Oytal haus, which will save approximately 7 km (i.e., instead of 25 km, we would walk 18 km).

Departure time of return connections: 18:23, 19:20, 20:21, 21:23, 22:20

Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T3, although for most part it is T2. Please read the blog to understand the requirement for sac scale T2 and T3.

We will have late lunch at one of the huts, so please bring enough food/drinks to avoid starvation/dehydration before reaching the hut.

Things to bring

• Waterproof hiking boots
• Cash for the ticket (10-15 Euro), scooter (7 Euro), and food/drinks at the hut
• Some food/drinks for the way (we will have late lunch at the hut)
• Rain jacket
• Tolerance for cloudy and rainy weather

Note: Please unjoin the hike well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
