Hoher Ziegspitz (1.864m) is a rather unfrequented peak in the Ammergauer Alps. The reason could be, that most hikers in the area aim to climb the well known Kramerspitz, the "Hausberg" of Garmisch.
From the top of Hoher Ziegspitz you have the best views to Eibsee, the Bavarian caribbean and Zugspitze, the Top of Germany.
The ascent and descent is the same way across the so called "Gelbes Gewänd", a well laid out beautiful trail which looks different all times of the day. There is a nice hut on the way with excellent views to the Zugspitzmassive.
Pre-requisites to join: Good fitness, full winter hiking equipment (waterproof clothes, spikes, poles, gaiters etc.), good vibes and flexibility in general. Also note that the weather on Saturday may add some extra challenge to this hike.
