Description

This is a big DIY group run for Trail runners who runs at different distances, paces and styles. From Short to the Ultra distance loving who are looking for some training and/or challenge since almost all of the races are still getting cancelled this year. The whole route is 64 km long that can be run on shorter segments with frequent Huts along the way for refilling and replenishments. There is an exit point in every Valley that leads to a Bus stop that will take you to a BOB Train going back to Munich. The whole route deconstructed and properly explained:

Lenggries to Bad Wiesee Bus Stop: 16.3km   1091 meters 1020 meters

Lenggries to Kreuth Bus Stop:  27,1km   1820 meters   1728 meters

Lenggries to Enterrottach Bus Stop:  38.8km   2560 meters  2274 meters

( another option: Lenggries to Wallbergbahn station Bus Stop:  44.8km  2582 meters 2482 meters ).

Lenggries to Spitzingsattel:  47.6km  3278 meters 2836 meters

Lenggries to Fischhausen-Neuhaus:  58.5km 3903 meters 3789 meters

Lenggries to Schliersee: 64.1km 4181 meters 4088 meters

Check the Bus time tables online if you are planning to run the shorter distances in order to plan your run accordingly.

A total of 6 distances. We leave the Train station in Munich and start at the same time altogether. You should have some good Trail Running experience as this is not a hike. It is suggested to run with people with the same intended distances. For the ones who will tackle the longer distances and going to push, be mindful that this is not a race so plan well and accordingly. Bring the necessary gears and enough food for intended distances. You could be running in the dark eventually and finishing in the dark as well with no immediate assistance from anyone. The Huts have different opening and closing times. Again, this is not a race. It's a group DIY Trail Run ( probably an annual thing ).

Good to know

Equipment suggestion:

Trail running shoes, trail running backpack or similar, waterproof and breathable lightweight jacket, enough water and food to cover your intended distances ( even though there are huts along the course, it is highly advisable to bring enough food rations for your run ), first aid kit and emergency blanket, fully charged headlamp with spare batteries, Charged mobile phone ( Powerbank is optional ), enough money, ID, FFP 2 Mask to be used in the Huts and Transportations, hand sanitizer, and some kind of mountain/rescue insurance as well.

Load the gpx file onto a navigation app. Familiarize yourself with the route. You should be able to follow the route by yourself because groups might split up depending on the intended pace.

Note:

Some of the participants of this group run are already vaccinated ( or had one dose already ) and I highly recommend to do a self test using a Self test home kit or a "Schnell Test" at your local pharmacy. We could become a bigger group so the weight of the responsibility becomes bigger as well for all of us.

This is a long distance trail run. We'll be hiking the uphills and running the flats and downhills.

I am not a guide, this is not a guided tour. You are responsible for yourself.

We Are going to run two meters apart from one another. Observance of the Corona Guidelines all the time is a must.

This is a group trail run intended for persons/groups who runs on different distances. THIS IS NOT A RACE.
