Description

Hi, 

I wanted to invite you to join me in going to the beautiful Karwendel. I have planned a scenic hike, which should be really enjoyable. Please do not underestimate it though! It is still decently long!

I will take care of the accommodation and most likely train tickets to get there as well.  My plan is:

Day 1:
Munich - Scharnitz by train. Then hike up to the hut, break at Karwendelhaus, Hochalmkreuz or other hike (optional/sunset), dinner at the hut.

Day 2: Reasonably early start ;-) after breakfast in Karwendelhaus, hike up to the renovated Falkenhütte of DAV München/Oberland, meal, descend down to Eng. Return to Munich.

This hike is possible and will take place even if the weather conditions are not too favourable.

Good to know

2-Days hike with an overnight stay at Karwendelhaus.

Getting there - Train to Scharnitz (Werdenfelsticket+Innsbruck), getting back - Bus from Eng to Lenggries (€13), last bus at 18:30, then a train back to Munich (BT). Please note the transportation will cost a little more than just the usual Bayern Ticket. Please take cash with you.
