Finally we can hike together again. So much I missed it since last summer!
A hike in the Soierngruppe is always fascinating, because offers those great views into the wild Karwendel. On this circular hike, you can particularly enjoy the varied views. And the end through the cool and not so well known Hüttlebachklamm is another real highlight with its waterfalls and the concrete possibility to spot some chamois.
One of the many minor summits of the Soiern subgroup within Karwendel ranges is Seinskopf.
Route: At the parking lot Isarhorn, a forest road runs eastwards into the forest (sign: Vereiner Alm, Kriner Kofler Hütte via driveway). On this it goes straight uphill until you reach a large clearing after about 40 minutes. Here a hiking trail branches off to the left at the Ochsenalm (sign: Soiernspitze, Schöttelkarspitze). Now follow this initially grassy, but then clear path (red dots) steeply up a lightly wooded ridge. In the panoramic mountain pine zone, the hiking trail descends slightly to the left and over the Kreuzgraben. Then you climb a steep journey through rubble onto a free yoke and come to a signposted crossroads (sign: Seinskopf-Krün). Here you keep to the left (west) and have the choice between two paths: Either directly over the airy Höckerkamm or around the outside through the green flanks to the highest point of the Seinskopf. Both paths lead to the summit, that offers a wonderful panorama as far as the Stubai Alps on one side and the highest peaks of Soiern Group on the other side.
Descent: North of the Seinskopf, a steep hiking trail first descends through mountain pines. In the light forest it then goes around the Felsenköpfl to a branch. Here you follow the path to the left (faded sign with a red dot: via Schwarzkopf to Krün). A little later you cross a steep stream bed and then come to the viewing bench at the Schwarzkopf (sign: Am Schwarzkopf, 1100 m). There the path leads to the left (small sign: Krün) and you climb downhill in the sparse forest to a fork in a forest road. Here you turn left again onto a forest path (sign: Krün). And also at the next junction you go left (sign: Hüttlebachklamm-Krün). After a short walk uphill and then following the signs, you reach the entrance to the Hüttlebachklamm. Many stairs with a solid wooden railing lead through the refreshing gorge. Finally the gorge becomes a little wider and at the end you come to a forest road crossing * (sign: Isartaler Rundwanderweg). We finally head to Krün village for eating and drinking something together.
Please be punctual. We need to buy group tickets. The train leaves at 7,24 but we want to sit in appropriate advance.
