Description
Jan ( 8yrs old ) is Adamant that he would like to try a Winter hike . The Wank in Garmisch is generally not difficult , and to make the hike a Little bit more interesting , I have decided to ascend from Farchant and descend to Garmisch . It is Always a high Point for Jan when he can travel with Trains , so we will be travelling by Train .
This is a hike aimed in first instance at People with Children . However , any hikers who have already met Jan and would like to join us , would be welcome .
If anyone wanted to meet us in Farchant , that would be fine , although we intend to go down to Garmisch , so anyone driving with a car would have to either go back the way we went up , or get from Garmisch to Farchant .
We would be hoping to enjoy a Refreshing beer or soft drink at the hut , and the pace would be relaxed .
Parents should be Aware of the dangers involved in hiking , and obviously if their child has never been hiking before , winter probably isnt the best time to start … .
We would meet in front of platform 29 at 08:10 on Saturday morning .
