Description

On Saturday we will hike from Mittenwald to Westliche Karwendelspitze.

We take the 7:13 RE61 train from Hbf gleis 31 to Mittenwald, arriving at 8:53.

The hike would take roughly 8 hours, and the pace is around 400m height gain per hour. There are possible refreshment stops at mittenwald or dammkar hutte.

For the returning trip, there is a train every half an hour. We aim to catch the 17:36 or 18:04 train and be back in Munich by 8pm. 

To reach the summit,  you should be fit, surefooted and have a head for heights.

In case of bad weather the hike will be postponed.

This hike Is not suited to beginners.
