Now that summer has arrived, let’s go for a hike up to Hochschrutte followed by a swim in Heiterwanger See. The route is T4, with some grade I scrambling. We will be going reasonably quickly, but not trail running
Weather
It should remain dry all day, but given the conditions over the last week, it is very possible that we will see drizzle at some possible towards the end of the walk. By then we will be low down, so it will not pose any risk to us, but it is definitely worth bringing full waterproofs in case.
Kit list
This is what I am bringing; your kit list should be similar.
Safety
Please observe all laws and guidelines for preventing the spread of coronavirus. I have created this event in order to find other people keen on walking in the mountains, but I am not a guide, and each member is responsible for their own safety. You are expected to familiarise yourself with the route before registering, and only register once you are happy that you can complete it.
Transport
We are taking the from Munich Hauptbahnhof, with a Werdenfels Ticket. We will share the cost of the ticket, which will be between €10 and €16 depending on the group size.
Outbound: München Hbf – Lähn (request stop)
Return: Heiterwang-Plansee – München Hbf
