CHANGE: due to bad weather forecast for Sunday we will attempt this hike in 1 day

So guys, it is now time again to climb Zugspitze via Jubigrat.

This is a speedhiking event (see the pace below).

We will start at 5am in Hammersbach and hike through Höllental towards Höllentalangerhütte. From there we start climbing Matheisenkar (via ferrata B/C) and will reach Grieskarscharte (ca. 3 hrs). Alpspitze can be optionally climbed from the Grieskarscharte (+1 hr.) with return by the same way (via ferrata A). From Grieskarscharte we will traverse through Jubiläumsgrat (VF D, UIAA III-) to the Zugspitze summit (ca. 7 hrs). Descent via Stöpselzieher.

Schedule

• 04h00: Leaving from Munich by car. Meeting point: Hirschgarten, Holiday Inn hotel (Friedenheimer Brücke 15).
• 05h00: Start (speed)hiking (together with Julien's Alpspitze group)
• 08h00: Grieskarscharte via Mathaisenkar (via ferrata C)
• 08h45: Jubiläumsgrat begin (T6)
• 11h00: Lunch @biwakschachtel
• 15h00: Zugspitze Gipfel (T6)
• 16h00: Start descent/trail-run Stöpselzieher
• 19h00: Ehrwald
• 22h00: Munich

Pace: >= 700m gain / hour uphills, and slow run down hills

Before joining, make sure of the following:

• If we haven‘t hiked together in the past, please contact me via a message 
• You must be able to navigate without my help in case we decide to split. Have either an app on your phone, or a GPS watch.
• Have your own, fully charged headlamp
• Carry at least 1,5l of water, food/energy bars/gels, sleeping bag/liner
• Bring Via Ferrata set (optional)
• Bring a climbing helmet (obligatory)
• Be at the car/train 5 mn earlier than the indicated time
