Weather: fairly sunny throughout the day, but possible shower in the afternoon.
Meeting point: We are meeting at Munich Hbf in front of Pl 9 at 6:30 AM. Please be on time because we need to get the Bayern ticket. If you are not on time, you will have to get your own ticket.
Train connections: We will take the RB54 at 06.41 am to Kufstein, then change for S4 in direction of Telfs-Pfaffenhofen Bahnhof till Jenbach Bahnhof. From Jenbahnhof with Bus line 4080 to Maurach / Achensee Mittelschule or alternative buses 8332, 4080 0r 8336 to stop Rofanseilbahn Talstation.
Update (more detailed connection description):
Munich Hbf BRB RB65 06:41 Pl 9 to Kufstein, arrive at 07:56 at Pl 11.
Kufstein Pl 22 to Jenbach Bahnhof S4 8:12, arrival 08:50 (follow up possibility 08:28 dep, 08:53 arrival.)
Jenbahnhof with Bus 0480 or 8332 at 08:54 to Maurach Mittelschule Steig A or Rofanseilbahn arrival at 09:17.
This is the start point of our hike at 09:17.
Return: Plan is to take the return connection earlier from Kufstein at 17:02, but the latest is one is 20:26. I will add the return connections later from Mauruch to Kufstein, or send you via email.
Return connections:
Bus 4080 or 8332 Maurach Rofanseilbahn stop at 16:26, 17:26 reaching Jenbach at 16:49,17:49.
S4 Jenbach Bhf to Kufstein Bhf 17:01(arr 17:24),17:49(arr 18:23),18:09 (arr 18:48)
Kufstein to Munich 18:02, 19:02 - reaching Muncih at 20:15 the latest.
We aim to get the 16:20 or 16:26 bus to Jenbach, preferably with all the breaks included.
Pace wise I'd like to have moderate pace of 450-500 so we have some more time to enjoy the view up.
This is not a beginners hike. There are some rather exposed sections and prior experience with adequate fitness level is a required..
Technical difficulty: The hike has difficulty T5 , please read the blog to understand the requirements for sac scale T5. Sure footedness and no fear of height is required.
Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
