Jan is desperate to try his first proper winter hike , so therefore this is another " Kids " hike , therefore it is kindly requested that you only join if known to Jan or are bringing Little People along .
We will be bravely attempting the Peterskopfl , starting from Kufstein . This is quite ambitious , as there will be quite a lot of snow lying higher up . I am however extremly confident that we will reach the Vorderkaiserfeldenhütte in good time , and from there we can review the Situation . It should be remembered that this is a hike primarily aimed at the younger People , and the priority is that they enjoy the experiance . If the way to the summit prooves to be too difficult or time consuming , we will break off the attempt and return to the hut to biuld snowmen or have snowball fights or both ...
Even reaching the Vorderkaiserfeldenhütte involves a climb approaching 900m and IF the summit is reached , the total Elevation gain would be close to 1400m which is a lot for Young People . The pace will be relaxed , so time must be taken in to consideration when we attempt the summit .
The Train back to Munich leaves every hour at 02.minutes past , and lasts for 1.25 Hours . I would expect to get the Train at 18.02 at the latest . We would be travelling on the Bayern ticket .
I am not a mountain guide , and the priority on this hike is that the kid(s) enjoy themselves . If the child has never been hiking before , winter is obviously not the time to start . There will be more appropriate hikes for beginner Kids in Spring . Everyone should be Aware of the dangers involved in hiking .
