Are you dreaming of a white Christmas?

Then you should not stay in Munich, where it has become more and more unlikely. Let's go hiking in snowy mountains around the beautiful Königssee on Christmas Eve, after we have had too much food during the Christmas holidays.

Maximum participants: 15, regular hiking buddies are given priority over first-timers. 

Meeting in Munich:  Friedenstr. in front of Burger King (SE-exit of Ostbahnhof), departure at  Wednesday 7:35 AM. carpool planning - please sign up as driver or passenger/waitlist. Participants must be assigned to one of the cars. I have reserved a minibus for 9 persons (shared cost is ca. 18€ pP to be paid in advance till Dec 24th 23:00).

Return: we should be back at 18:30-19:00.

Technical difficulty: The hike is neither for beginners, nor for slow hikers. The route is easy and not steep, but walking in snow could make it medium difficulty.

Route: from Schönau to Archenkanzel (viewpoint), Kühroint-Alm,  Grünstein (view of Watzmann) and back. If we are fast, we could visit Malerwinkel, too.

There are no open huts, so please bring enough food/drink to avoid starvation/dehydration.

• gaiters and crampons highly recommended
• food and water
• warm clothes (it's winter!)

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
