Description

The weather for Sunday looks good thus far, so I'm hoping to go to Mittenwald again, and check out the Wasserfall Leutascher Ache, the panorama bridge and part of the Lautersee. The hike is easy-to-intermediate, so beginners are welcome. Though please make sure you take a look at the route and its specifics here before joining.

Hope to have a full house on Sunday morning!

Good to know

We'll meet in front of Platform 30 at the Hbf at 9am sharp. The train to Mittenwald leaves at 9:13, so please be there on time if you need to get group tickets. It takes 1 hour 40 minutes to Mittenwald.

  • The hike will take approximately 4-5 hours at a slow relaxing pace. We should be back to Munich at around 6pm.
  • We'll hope to grab some lunch towards the end of the hike along the Lautersee.
  • The hike is intermediate level, so please do wear hiking boots if you have them.
  • I have not been on this route before, and I am not an official guide. You are responsible for your own safety.
  • The group always sticks together, so the group has to keep up with the slowest person. If you don't like this rule, please do not join. If you think you're too slow and are an absolute beginner with no prior hiking experience, probably this hike is not for you either.

Also, please do note that I DO mark no-shows! So if you register and do not show up for a hike (or have a no-show on your profile), you'll be banned from all future hikes.
