Description

Not for beginners!
Alpine hike experience required.

It is not a via ferrata, some parts of it has Via ferrata up to grade B. Scrambling grade up to UIAA II. Keep in mind, oding this whole traverse in 1 day is very strenuous task. 12-14 hrs expected with breaks.

You :
- have done scrambling up to grade II and difficulty level T5-T6 hikes
- can maintain minimum 400+ hm per hour for 3-4 hrs on a T2/T3 trail.
- have all the gear mentioned in 'MUST CARRY' list

I am staying in the area for the weekend.

You start day before from your origin city.
Arrive on Saturday evening to Berchtesgaden area or directly to hike beginning point.
You have to organize your own sleeping arrangement.
all camping places are full in the Koenningsee area.

Start from Parkplatz 4:30 AM
Arrival to Watzmannhut
Breakfast at hut
Traverse continue
Break at Wimbachgries hut
back to parkplatz
dinner together (Optional)
Drive back 
Or
stay in the area for next hike on next day(your own arrangement)
