Description

The route will start from Fuessen.

We will go through the city and will visit the Hohes Schloss and maybe the Benediktinerkloster St. Mang.

Then we will climb the Kalvarianberg and after that we will go down for walking along the shore of Schwansee and Alpsee.

The weather is expected to be around +23, so we could take a rest on the shore of Alpseebad. After that we will go to Hohenschwangau where we can get something to eat

Schedule:

We will meet at Muenchen Hbf Platform 27 at 07:15. We will take BRB RB68 (62703) at 07:52 and arrive at 09:55 to Füssen.

Note:


The group will not wait for anyone in the Munich Hbf joining us later than 7:30 !!! This is important as the organization of the Bayern ticket must be done at least 20 min before the start of the train journey otherwise we will not be able to catch enough free seats close together in the train and most of us should then stand in the wagons for about two hours! So please respect the punctuality to avoid stress. If someone somehow appears late, he or she is responsible to buy a ticket for him/herself. Thanks.

As you may know there are some disruptions due to the DB strike.

I have checked the routes in the DB and so far our routes are not affected for this Saturday and hopefully it would stay the same. If you also noticed some new updates please write a comment here.

  • min.1 liter of water
  • some food
  • cash for tickets and lunch
  • a sun hat and sunscreen and sun glasses

Since this is my first hike organisation, I will not increase the number of people to more than 8. You are joining the hike on your own risk.

In case of weather change or complications in the DB functionalities on Saturday, the event might be shifted to the next week.

The BRB trains will not be affected by DB strike. Also in the DB app if you check direction e.g. from München Hbf to Füssen, the result for it on Sat at 7:52 has no warning sign.

Hi! I'm very sorry for tomorrow, but I can't suddenly join the hike. My parents are infected with covid and my mom's general state suddenly broke down today. I have to be in touch all the time.
