Ruchenkopf is the name for a 1805 meter high mountain with a long, distinctive ridge, which has several ridge elevations, and is located in the Schliersee Mountains, part of the Mangfall Mountains, in Bavaria.
The simplest ascent, often used as a descent, leads past the Bergwachthütte (Bergwacht München) first through a mountain pine belt and then steeply and not marked partly on a path with climbing points in difficulty level I through the chive gutter and partly exposed over the eastern summit ridge to the summit cross Book (surefootedness, a head for heights and climbing skills required); the west ridge is considered to be more attractive (difficulty level III (heavier spots with a stand hook), also not marked, very exposed) Danger from orientation problems.
