Description

Bad Gastein is snowboarding paradise with 6 to 7 km long slopes without Ziehwege (you don't need to drag along the snowboard as there are no flat parts)

There's a direct train between Munich and Bad Gastein making everything very convenient. The hostel, ski lift and a spa are right outside the train station. 


Last time they opened all slopes mid December when we arrived and we paid only 35 euro per person per night for accommodation, a mere 300 meter walk from the train station and ski lift, with amazing breakfast included

The ski pass includes Bad Hofgastein and Sport Gastein, all connected via lifts and/or buses. 

I'll post info about accommodation once someone else signs up. Train leaves Munich Ost at 18:27 on Friday the 17th.

Hi! I am new in this community and loved the idea! I have a question, do you know if this is open currently? I ask because last I heard, Austria was under strict lockdown due to Corona, and I wouldn't like to make the trip just to be stuck inside

*Update* Austria ended Lockdown and we could rebook the hotel. Svet, Sarah, Jade and myself have a reservation. If you can comment and find a group of 4 you'll be able to make reservations too! 4th guy who was on the list never replied to my email (forgot his name) so that's why Jade could step in. Please discuss in comments if you still want to join and can find a group of 4
