Description
As the weather seems to be sunny and warm on Saturday, let´s go for a medium hike with awesome views to Achensee. Pace will be slow/medium as the main goal is to enjoy a sunny day in the mountain.
We will meet at 09:30 at the parking reported in the meeting point and from there we will start hiking. Driver should decide the meeting time in order to be on time at the meeting point.
Bärekopf (1991m) is the easternmost summit of Karwendel and it offers very nice views towards Rofan, Karwendel and expecially Achensee
The hike is classified as easy T2 but be aware that there is a small part secured with metal rope and the path has some narrow section. Pitcure of the path are available at the following link: https://www.outdooractive.com/de/route/wanderung/achensee/baerenkopf-1991m-von-pertisau/50061448/#dmlb=1
On the route) there are two hut: Alpengasthaus Karwendel (that is also marked on the map) and Bärenbadalm Pertisau. We will stop there for some food and drink. I am expecting to be there around 13:30/14:00 therefore bring some snack with you.
Once the hike is over, each car is free to decide if go back directly to Munich or spend a bit of time chilling on the lake.
Good to know
What to bring:
- Hiking shoes
- Poles (not mandatory)
- ID Card/passport as we cross the border
- Rain jacket (the weather in the mountain can change quickly)
- Flip-jacket
- Sun cream and sun glasses (not mandatory)
- Charged mobile phone
- Enough cash for ride and for the hut
- Enough water for the hike + food/snack
3-G RULE /COVID:
The hike is in Austria, that means ALL travelers need to show either a negative COVID test or proof of vaccination/past infection upon entry.
JOINING:
- If you have a car, please add your car to the carpool
- If you don't have a car, please join one of the cars in the carpool
If the cars in the carpool are not suitable, you can join the waiting list and you will be notified by email when a new car is added to the carpool. You are not automatically assigned to a car.
General rules: Since it is impossible to do two hikes on the same days, please avoid to join more than one hike!!! This means that, you only book your seat on the car if you are sure you are willing to come, and, afterwards, you will unjoin any others hike you may have joined while waiting for a car on the waiting list.
Hiking can be dangerous . I am not a mountain guide, and everybody joining this hike does this at his own risk.

Hi guys. Please confirm with SMS you are coming tomorrow. Meeting point will be on the western side of the bridge. Means opposite side of the entrance to S-Bahn.
