Let´s enjoy a easy hike on a sunny Sunday in one of the most beautiful lakes of the Salzkammergut.

We will meet at 09:45 at the parking reported in the meeting point and from there we will start hiking. Driver should decide the meeting time in order to be on time at the meeting point.

The trail leads us first flat along the Vorderer Gosausee. Then we will reach Gosaulacke. The Gosaulacke is a karst lake that has almost dried up in dry conditions. Later we pass the "Launingfall", which offers a natural spectacle after rains. The trail leads through a barren forest area, partly stocked with leg-tubes, past the "Zigeunerloch". After overcoming a steep section, we are on the "Luagbichl". From here we have a beautiful view back to the Gosaulacke and the Vordere Gosausee. From the Gosaulacke we climb steadily uphill to the Hinterer Gosausee and run flat again to the Hinterer Gosausee.

The hike shows us one of the most popular beautiful places of the Dachstein Salzkammergut, not by chance Unesco region up close: the Gosausee. Described by Alexander von Humboldt as the "Eye of God", the lake also impresses with its breathtaking scenery. The imposing Dachstein rises above the shore and is reflected in the water surface together with its glacier.

Pace will be slow with enough time for pictures, as we will be hiking/walking in a wonderful locations.

The hike is in Austria, that means ALL travelers need to show either a negative COVID test or proof of vaccination/past infection upon entry.

JOINING:

- If you have a car, please add your car to the carpool

- If you don't have a car, please join one of the cars in the carpool

• If the cars in the carpool are not suitable, you can join the waiting list and you will be notified by email when a new car is added to the carpool. You are not automatically assigned to a car.

  General rules: Since it is impossible to do two hikes on the same days, please avoid to join more than one hike!!! This means that, you only book your seat on the car if you are sure you are willing to come, and, afterwards, you will unjoin any others hike you may have joined while waiting for a car on the waiting list.
