Must not be afraid of heights. Via ferrata A/B
Please bring those spikes everything above 2000m is white
We are meeting at Hauptbahnhof Platform 29 under the sign and buy a ticket together. Price should be 10-12€ pp please bring some cash. In addition we need to take the bus to Eibsee which is a private company so the ticket is 5€ extra each way. Bring cash the bus won't take cards. On our way back we need to see if we get the bus (it only runs 1 per hour) or if it makes more sense to walk to Grainau Bahnhof (3,5km). Taxi is also possible I was quoted 25€.
Otherwise this is a beginners via ferrata (I'm not even sure if that can be called a real via ferrata, if you are inexperienced it might be better to bring the via Ferrata set though) we won't be rushing up. We start at 10 and should be back on the train 7 hours later.
Please be aware that the temperatures at 2000m are likely around 5 degress and there's a good chance of snow before the weekend, so bring spikes.
i) Hiking shoes, via ferrata set and spikes
ii) Hiking poles (not mandatory, but it always better to have them), head lamp
iii) Enough water for the whole day.
iv) Snacks and or food. We're not planning on stopping at huts
v) Proper clothes for hiking
vi) A good mood
Going to the mountains, like any other adventure tours, is always risky; sometimes it might be life-threatening! Attendees are advised to read the full description, look into the route details and familiarise themselves to the point that as if they are going to hike by their own.
If there is any unwanted and unfortunate incident happened, they are at this moment informed that they have to pay by themselves if the rescue team needs to be called (average cost 3,000 Euro). We are certainly not official guides, so it is not a guided tour. The organizer is only responsible for taking care of the meeting and sharing the travel cost, nothing
