This week-end is the last one in which the boat from Konigsee to Salet is running, therefore let´s enjoy a hopefully sunny day, with a easy walk surrounded by crystal clear lake, waterfall, autumn colours and the snow on the peak.
Note: The hike is an easy one, T2 scale. The goal of the events it is to enjoy a full day and have enough time for pictures. Pace will be slow with a lot of photo breaks
We will take the train at 06:55 - BRB RE 5 from Munich HBF from platform 10 and we will arrive a Freillassing at 08.33 and we will take the SEV from Berchstgaden and we are supposed to arrive at 09:45. Then we will take bus 841 at 10:14 from Berchstgaden to Konigsee.
We will buy the ticket for the boat to Salet (23€ each) and then we will start the first walk and enjoy the beauty of the place
The path from the Saletalm to the Fischunkelalm leads along the banks of the Obersee, the path is narrow and rocky. Separated from the Königssee by a moraine wall, the Obersee is the little brother of the Königssee and it offer nice reflection of the landscape.
The
Fischunkelalm is a managed alpine hut on the southeastern shore of the
Obersee. Above the Fischunkelalm is the Röthbachfall, the highest
waterfall in Germany.
Once we have enjoyed enough the beauty of the place we will take the boat to St Bartoloma and we will do another easy walk to Schrainbachfal.
The last boat from St Barthloma departs at 17:30, while the last one from Salet at 17:10. The last boat arrive at Konigsee at 18;05. Bus connections from Konigsee to Berchstgaden are available at 17:30, 18:57 (841). If we take the last boat we will be back in Munich at 22:15. In case we will take the bus at 17:30 we will be back in Munich at 21:15 therefore join the event only if you do not have any plan for the night.
