Meeting point and time:
We will meet at Munich central station by Yormas bakery (platform 26) at 8:00. Please be on time and remember that the clocks change on Sunday morning, so please factor that in! If you are not coming please unjoin in good time so others on the waitlist can join.

After meeting at the HBF, we will buy a Bayern ticket(s) together and go to the correct platform to get the train to Fishausen-Neuhaus at 08:30 and then a bus to Spitzingsattel. With the Bayern ticket we will split the price between participants (should be about 11-12 euro each).
The hike is categorized as easy. I usually hike at a slow-moderate pace and like to stop to take photos and enjoy the view. If you want to be on a fast hike, then this is probably not the hike for you!
The route plan states that the hike should take around 4 hrs, however, I think this is a bit ambitious and I would plan for it to take a bit longer. Also there is a hut on our ascent, which is still open (I checked already) where we can get some lunch and drinks (3G rules apply, please bring your vaccine pass and mask).

I am not a mountain guide. Everyone is responsible for themselves and joins at their own risk. Please download a copy of the route and come prepared to complete the hike as if you would do alone in the unlikely event that something goes awry.
If the weather is bad, I might move or cancel the event.

- Vaccine pass for the hut
- cash for the train ticket and food at the hut
- Water and snacks
- The forecast is sunny, so wear SPF

Ok,where will you join us? Since we want to get a Bayern ticket please would you unjoin the event so that 10 people can get the Bayern ticket together, but still meet us obviously.

I will come to the meeting point in the main station. I think the best way would be if you are just increasing the number of participants to 11 🙃.

No because people drop out and it’s gets messy, the number will stay at 10. Please could you ‘unjoin’ but still meet us

Deborah, any objections if I come by my own to the bus stop Spitzingsattel and join you from there? The bus 9562 arrives at Spitzingsattel at 09:52, doesn't it?

Hi Alex, that’s right. Feel free to join us there. I mentioned to Andreas above, please still come obviously but if you could ensure that you don’t ‘join’ the event as we need an even number of people for the Bayern ticket, if that makes sense.

… and, btw., I often get cold in the mountains. Therefore, I might have to walk fast and perhaps leave your group behind simply to become warm. Of course, I'll have a map of my own, just in case. We'll see how it goes. See you tomorrow!

In case you don't see me on the bus stop by 9:55, simply start walking without me. (In this case, some unforeseeable delay happened, and I will do my best to catch up with you.) I don't have mobile Internet, so, use the phone number above from 08:00 onward. Though I won't be able to pick up while driving, I will hopefully be able to listen to the answering-machine messages.

German train company 😒. They are even able to be 45 minutes late on a Sunday morning. So I can't catch the train which you are taking. I will catch the train one hour later and try to hike a bit faster to meet you somewhere at the mountain.
