Description

This is a 3G event + FFP2 mask - you must be fully vaccinated or recovered or recent PCR-Test to join.

This is a relatively easy hike and is suitable for beginners.

We will be moving at a moderate pace (no speed hiking or running).

The train leaves at 8:30 am.

We will take the Bayern Ticket which I will purchase Saturday morning. If you are not present when the ticket is purchased, you will need to buy your own.

These trains fill up quickly, so the earlier we get on, the higher our chances of having seats together.

Please bring enough food and water for the hike. At the end of the hike, we could go to Oberen Firstalm to drink something and eat great food (optional).

Things to bring:

  • proof of vaccination or recovery or test
  • hiking shoes
  • food and water (at least 1.5 liters)
  • FFP2 mask for train
  • warm clothing
  • cash for a train ticket (10-15 € depending on total number) You must bring cash or Paypal me! Most huts also only accept cash
  • good energy and a good mood
  • dry socks
  • crampons or spikes

Optional:

  • rain jacket
  • hiking poles

Disclaimer: I am not a guide. Everybody is responsible for themself. Make yourself familiar with the route and its requirements. It's recommended to download the map, bring a cell phone and a first aid kit for emergencies. Please prepare as if you were hiking alone. Due to limited daylight hours, you must have a headlamp in case of emergency or delays.

Good to know
  • we meet at München Hbf platform 12 at 8:10.
  • I will purchase tickets for present hikers at 8:20
  • If you are arriving later you would need to purchase your own tickets.
  • We Take the train at 8:30 and be there at 9:55.
  • We will start the hike at 10:00
  • It is a roughly 6:00 hours hike, including 3x15 minutes breaks in between.
  • We could catch the 16:07 train. there is a train every one hour.
  • We should be back in München by 17:50
  • call if you trouble to find the group at the train station (017684290177)

Hey Ramin! I wonder based on which official law have you decided to put a 3G rule on the hike! To my knowledge, there is no 3G restriction for the outdoor activities, and I am not sure that you can put your own rule, because there a government and a parliament that decides for these things in this country, not individual persons.

Here is some information about the Coro and the latest rules and regulations in DB and Bayern. https://www.bahn.de/info/corona_startseite_bahnde https://www.bayern.de/coronavirus-in-bayern-informationen-auf-einen-blick/ https://www.muenchen.de/rathaus/Stadtverwaltung/Referat-fuer-Gesundheit-und-Umwelt/Infektionsschutz/Neuartiges_Coronavirus.html#Kultur I put G3 because we could be walking close together and better safe than be sorry. (I did not mean to restrict anyone's personal freedom :D) according to current when people doing outdoor activities they need only 1.5+ m distance for traveling by train only you need FFP2 mask. for taking a break at Hut G3 is mandatory. I hope you guys, my dear Hiking Buddies and participants in these activities, understand with some conservative measures we could keep our hikes going and enjoy nature.

Sina, Ramin does not need an official law and this is not a touristic event where you have a saying in the matter. Your choice is either to join or to abstain and if you join, you will have to stick to the rules. In addition, I dont see the necessity for an organiser who went to great length organising an event for free in his/her leisuer time and then, being asked to justify what 14 out of 15 participants have no problem to accept.
