While in general this hike should not be very difficult, it is supposed to snow pretty much the whole day and there will be quite a bit of snow on the ground from the last few days.
I aim for about 400 elevation gain per hour, but this is heavily dependant on the amount and consistancy of the snow.
If you want to join, please contact me so I can get a feeling for your experience level in the mountains.
We will take the train leaving from Harras to Lenggries at 7:12 (If you want to start at Munich Hbf that is fine, just make sure you are in the part to Lenggries and you have a valid ticket to Harras). I will buy a Bayernticket ahead of time for the group, so I will need your full name so I can enter it during checkout (I will buy it online). Please message me your full name after joining, otherwise I will be forced to remove you from the hike.
There is an OPEN hut on the way back (Lenggrieser Hütte), which offers great food. I will definitely want to eat something there.
We will take whatever train we reach on the way back, make sure you are free the whole day as I do not want to stress about taking a specific train back.
NOTE: If it is snowing very heavily, we might just hike up to Lenggrieser Hütte and back down without any peaks
Things to bring:
- Grödl
- Poles
- Covid Documentation
- Appropriate Clothes for Snowy Weather
- Food and Drink (OPEN hut on the way down)
- Headlamp (Depending on our speed it might already be dark on our way down)
