I'm also looking for ski touring buddies :) I just discovered hiking buddies for myself this summer and was now wondering if there are people for ski touring too. I have been ski touring for 12 years, especially with the Alpine Club, also a lot of high alpine tours, so I am already quite experienced, but also completely open to going on smaller, easier tours with beginners. Now, this weekend I would like to go on a little tour too! I'm happy to hear from you! Cheers, Matthias
O.k., thanks for replying. Be careful with the terminology. Skitouring, by definition, is touring with ski. The kind of terrain is unspecified. While Voralpen definitely offers lots of possibilities for skiing in steep terrain and only very few options for skiing in flat terrain, the second is not excluded by the word itself. So, I thought I'd just ask to be sure. :-)
Hello,
I was just waiting when ski touring will also here starts :)
However, I have a few questions, do all of You have a Ski touring equipment (LVS, Sonde, Schaufel)? Or You just want to start.
If You want to start and especially if You don't have a LVS I Would strongly recommend Sudelfeld (it is easier to reach by train, and you are in the relatively safe area from Avalache perspective).
Spitzingsee is more popular, harder to reach, and also more demanding. Depend of the route I might also join tomorrow with a car.
please also check Lawinenwarnstufe in your Region. if it is 3 or more and the angle of your route is more than 35 degrees. it can become extremely dangerous.
