Description
Beginner friendly hike with direct train connection from Munich to Lenggries Train Station. From there, it is a 20 min walk to the meeting point at Wanderparkplatz Hohenburg in Hohenburgstrasse. Ascent via Grasleitensteig until we reach the plateau of Seekaralm, not far from Lenggrieser Hütte. This hut (formerly Seekarhütte) is open almost all year with great food and a nice terrace. From there, its another 45 min to the remote Seekarkreuz summit, featuring a nice view to chill in the sun. Ideally, you bring your lunch for the chill part, we may stop at the hut afterwards for Coffee and Cake
After reaching the summit, the tour takes us back to the hut, descending through Hirschbachtal back to the meeting point.
Depending on the snow situation, this tour can be done in winter (wintergear necessary) with relatively low avalanche risk.

Weather on sunday is going to be very nice, sunny and cold so better expect an avalanche of cars and use the train instead

Just as a reminder, you need to have winter gear with you and bring snow spikes. Enroute, we will pass Lenggrieser Hütte and continue to the summit to take a lunchbreak in the sun. As we are going to go back the same path, we might be stopping at the hut for a coffee & cake break.
