Description

This is a 3G event - you must be:

  • fully vaccinated or recovered
  • have a certified recent, 24 hours, Corona Test(Antigen/Fast Test) or corona Booster-shot vaccination certificate which is a minimum of 14 days old.
  • Please be aware and bring your documents accordingly.

Im Zug gilt bundesweit 3G-Regel.

On the way back we could try Rodeln/Sliding, which costs 5€ per person(group agreement).

It is going to snow please bring warm clothes.

This is a relatively easy hike and is suitable for beginners.

We will be moving at a moderate pace (no speed hiking or running).

The train leaves at 8:30 am. Please be at the station before 8:10. I will buy the ticket 15 minutes before departure for the present people.

I will purchase Saturday morning(we may not need a Bayern Ticket). If you are not present when the ticket is purchased, you will need to buy it on your own.

These trains fill up quickly, so the earlier we get on, the higher our chances of having seats together.

Please bring enough food and water for the hike. At the Hut, we could go to hoernlebahn to drink something(optional).

Things to bring:

  • proof of vaccination or recovery 3G
  • hiking shoes
  • food and water (at least 1.5 liters)
  • FFP2 mask for train
  • warm clothing
  • cash for a train ticket (11-16 euros depending on total number) You must bring cash! Most huts also only accept cash
  • good energy and good fitness
  • Spikes
  • rain jacket
  • hiking poles (it is likely going to be muddy)

Disclaimer: I am not a guide. Everybody is responsible for themself. Make yourself familiar with the route and its requirements. It's recommended to download the map, bring a cell phone and a first aid kit for emergencies. Please prepare as if you were hiking alone. Due to limited daylight hours, you must have a headlamp in case of emergency or delays.

Good to know
  • We Take the train at 8:30, arrive there at 10:00, and begin the hike.
  • It is a roughly 5:30 hours hike, including 2x20 minutes breaks in between.
  • We should be done by 15:30.
  • On the way back we could try Rodeln/Sliding, which costs 5€ per person(group agreement).

  • We could take 1 hours break at the end and drink something (optional)

By Friday if there are still motivated people on the waiting list, we could increase the hike capacity up to 15. It is going to be an adventure hike, easy route, and snowy weather.;)
