Hello everyone,

this is an event to go to the top of Baumgartenschneid on Sunday.

It will be cold and snowing, probably ice under fresh snow, therefore spikes are obligatory to bring (and gaiters really recommended).

Medium pace (400 hm/h), please have some hiking experience, although in the summer it would be an easy hike.

Good to know

The idea is to take the BRB at 8:30 from platform 34 at Munich Hbf to Tegernsee and go the same way back, sharing a Bayernticket.

We meet at 8:10 in front of platform 34.

I'll bring a Bayernticket for 5 and we buy the second one at 8:15 (with reduced number in case of a no-show), so please be on time or you'll have to buy your own ticket!


Things to bring:

- Proof of vaccination, recovery or negative test

- hiking shoes

- spikes

- gaiters

- spare socks to change

- food and water

- mask for train

- warm clothing

- rain jacket

- cash for train ticket (or by paypal)

- good energy

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.

Make yourself familiar with the route and its requirements. It's recommended to download the map, bring a cell phone and a first aid kit for emergencies. Please prepare as if you were hiking alone. I recommend having the DAV insurance.
