Description

Weather looks really good this weekend, so who wants to join me for a long hike through the Zahme Kaiser natural preserve near Kufstein.

The plan is to take the train at 7:41 to Kufstein, arriving at 8:57 and then take a short bus to Ebbs 20 minutes later from which we start the hike.
 
This is not for total beginners because of the total length but I / we will go at a moderate pace
We pass a couple of huts, especially the Vorderfeldernkaisernhütte where we can have some well deserved lunch

Don't expect to much snow at the height we are going but gaiters and crampons are never a bad idea in winter hikes.


transport costs depends on the numbers of people showing up, we can take a Bayernticket to Kufstein and then a bit for the bus, so ~15€ probably

2G-Hike, so I expect everybody to be at least double vaccinated but no need for a test

Good to know

We meet at platform 10 at Munich Hauptbahnhof to take the train at 7:41 to Kufstein

Please be on time so we enough time to buy the tickets etc.

Please bring

  • hiking boots
  • proper hiking clothing (not accepting anybody with Jeans and / or Sneakers)
  • FFP2 masks
  • food & snacks (We can eat something at a hut, but towards the end of the hike)
  • Water (I would recommend at least 2 Liters)
  • head lamp (should not be needed but just in case)
  • some cash
  • good mood
  • sunglasses & sun cream
  • gaiters
  • Grödel / spikes/ crampons. Hopefully not needed but always a good idea in the winter
  • ID or passport and covid documents for crossing to Austria
  • charged phone (my number is 0177/9768273)
  • DAV or similar insurance highly recommended

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't plan to come. You cannot unjoin the event, when it is starting in less than 12 hours.
