Description

IMPORTANT NEWS: Because the small wooden bridge over the lake is under service, we will do the short version without using it, and we will not go around the lake. In this case, the entire route will be around 15 kilometers, and we will take the 17:01 train to Munich.

Highline 179 Spring edition: a perfect option if you're aiming high this summer!

Technical difficulty: This hike is graded as accessible, and I would like to have a relaxed pace, around 350. 

Things to bring:

  • winter hiking shoes;
  • winter clothes;
  • spikes;
  • gaiters;
  • water, food(we will stop at the restaurant after the hike, before coming to Munich);
  • mask FFP2;
  • good energy.

Optional:

  • hiking poles;
  • sun glasses;
  • swimming clothes and towel;
  • first aid kit.

Disclaimer: Hiking can be dangerous. I am not a mountain guide. Everybody is responsible for themselves. Please make yourself familiar with the route and its requirements. Additionally, you could download the map, bring a cell phone and a first aid kit.

Good to know

IMPORTANT: All participants must respect Corona regulations!

We will meet at 6:10 in front of platform 27 to have time to buy the tickets. the train will leave at 6:32. The price for the ticket is between 10 and 13 Euros. After 6:20 you have to buy your own ticket! For crossing the bridge you need a ticket that costs 8 Euros.

The trip with the train will be around two hours so we could start our hike around 9. My intention is to take the train back from Heiterwang-Plansee at the latest 19:11 and to be in Munich at 21.26(we also have options at 17.01 or at 21.15).

When we reach the lake, we will decide if we also go around the lake or straight to the restaurant and spare five kilometers.

Hi everyone, I was at the Plansee last weekend, planning to hike along the lake at the south side. There was an official notice at the start of the trail that the bridge at "in der Zwirche" is closed for maintanance for the foreseeable future. Maybe keep that in mind on your hike. Have fun in any case!
