Description

An easy/medium difficult hike to the peaks Teufelstättkopf and Pürschling. After the hike we'll visit the fine dining restaurant Dorfwirt at 16:00 (dining is NOT optional, 4 course menu 79€, 5 course 89€, wine pairing optional). This is a joint event with Munich Gourmets . We already are a group of 3 hiking gourmets and have 3 more free seats on the reserved table. Due to no-show fees prepayment (25€ car+deposit) will probably be required.

Technical Difficulty: This hike is suitable for advanced beginners, who are surefooted, have no fear of heights, are not very slow (>=350m gain/hour), have sufficient stamina and walking speed of > 5km/h in the flat parts. There may be still some snow and ice.

Transport: We will go by car (might be changed to train). We'll share the car expenses and parking fee. 

Joining: Read the instructions carefully and send me a PM before you join. Join only if you are sure you meet the requirements. 

Legal disclaimer: This is not a guided tour. I merely organize the trip to the starting point with like-minded, qualified, properly equipped and reliable persons. Every participant must be able to navigate her/himself on the suggested route. If you join, you acknowledge that hiking is dangerous, you are fully responsible for yourself and that you have sufficient insurance (DAV, Bergrettung or similar).

Note: Please unjoin the event well in advance, if you don't want to come. You cannot unjoin the event when it is starting in less than 12 hours. No-shows will be recorded in your profile.

Things to bring (mandatory):

  • a FFP2 mask
  • water-proof hiking shoes/boots
  • Grödel (mountain spikes)
  • 3G rule proof
  • enough water (min. 1l)
  • multiple layers for 5-15°C
  • enough cash
  • snacks
  • extra pair of shoes (and maybe clothes) for the restaurant and car
  • charged smartphone, emergency no 112 saved, optionally powerbank

  • sun glasses and sun-protection

cool idea to combine athletic & fine dining activities :) Once I did cycling (200km non-stop from Rastatt to Nancy) and fine dining in * restaurant-transparence.fr Do you know how Dorfwirt will react to rather sporty outfit of the guests (or, I guess, you intend to change before)?
